NBIC Biofilm Public Engagement and Outreach 2021 Support
Do you have ideas for biofilm outreach and public engagement projects?
We are pleased to be able to support your projects through:
- Reaching our Public Engagement and Outreach Officer, Dr Jean-Christophe Denis: J.C.Denis@ed.ac.uk who will be pleased to give advice, recommendations and support to you.
- Our NBIC Public Engagement and Outreach grant. Following feedback from our NBIC partners, we now offer up to £3,000 twice a year. This will allow the delivery of projects of all sizes. This funding is open to any academic NBIC partner. You can apply for it by filling out our short application form. Whatever the outcome of your application, the NBIC Public Engagement and Outreach Officer will be able to offer advice, recommendations, publicity and a degree of support to every project submitted to us. The grant application deadline is Monday 22 March 2021.
We realise that the current situation is certainly challenging for yourself, your colleagues and your loved ones. We hope that this grant scheme will be the occasion to try something different from the daily work you undertake, to think ahead and to deliver a project with clear outcomes, benefiting the public and us.
We understand that it is difficult to imagine what future events and activities will look like. We will keep this is mind while allocating funding; this will also require all of us to be flexible for the delivery of the project. Delivering a project successfully will certainly be more challenging than usual, but it will be very rewarding. We are also here to support you!
To help inspire you, Our Public Engagement and Outreach Officer, has put together some great examples of virtual engagement and outreach activities in his blog.
